Drawing Walls

Shows step-by how to use the command Walls to draw single-shell or double-shell interior and exterior walls in 2D and 3D mode.

Before you begin

For example, you want to re-draw walls based on a loaded underlay.

Navigate to:

Project tabDiscipline ArchitecturePlanning type 3D - Model planning / 2.5D - Model planningCreate tabCommand group Walls, Ceilings, Columns

Procedure

  1. Use one of the two buttons or to select whether you want to draw a single-shell or a double-shell wall.
  2. Enter the layer thickness or click the button behind the input field to pick the dimensions from the drawing.
    Note: For a double-shelled wall, Thickness 2 indicates the distance between the inner and outer shell of the wall.
  3. Optional: Place a check mark for Interior wall if you want to draw an interior wall.
    Note: If this option is selected, you must first select an outer wall to be connected to when drawing.
  4. Enter the height of the wall. Click the button to apply the storey height minus the slab thickness from the storey table.
  5. Click the Walls < button.
  6. Enter the starting point for the wall or use the AutoCAD command join to select the wall to which the new wall to be drawn (interior wall) is to be connected.
  7. Specify the second point for the wall.
  8. Optional: If necessary, determine further points for the course of the wall.
  9. End the command by pressing Enter.

Results

After finishing the command, the wall is created according to the specifications.
