Adjust to north orientation, Degree

Here you may specify the north orientation of your drawing by mouse click or by entering the value in degrees. The data can be taken over by LINEAR Building later. By this means, the orientation of all components, such as external walls and possible windows contained therein is transferred to the *.pro file.

Detection options ...

Detection options ...

Opens the Options dialog where you can make settings for the building detection . The settings become saved in the drawing. If you would like to change the dimensions for the wall thickness and the openings on a long-term basis, please make these adjustments in the drawing template.

Building detection

In the Building detection section, you can check building structures that have been created in the IFC workflows or in the model planning types of the Architecture discipline before you transfer them to the program LINEAR Building. For example, you can check whether all rooms have been correctly detected.

Delete building structure

Deletes existing building structure from the section Building detection. This may be useful, if the rooms have not been detected correctly and you have changed the drawing subsequently after the first automatic detection. Before you start the automatic detection again, delete the old building structure by clicking Delete building structure.

Check open wall ends<

The function for checking open wall ends is only available in the planning type 3D Model planning.

Rooms which are not completely enclosed by walls cannot be considered by automatic detection. The Check open wall ends command locates these spots. Open wall ends can be closed by using the command Connect walls <.

Collision check <

The function for checking open wall ends is only available in the planning type 3D Model planning.

Starts the collision check, which provides information on whether and where 3D components (independent of the trade) collide with each other. The basis for the collision check is the graphical representation of the pipes. The illustration with or without insulation affects the collision check. In case of errors, the Report dialog opens, where you can work through the detected collisions step by step.

The collision check also includes components from external references. If the check process takes too long, the collision check can be aborted by pressing the ESC key. Collisions found up to this point are then displayed in the Reports dialog.
