About Setting Up Clients

Get information about initial client setup.

Below you will find all the important steps to be performed during the initial client setup. Both the installation via USB installation stick and the installation via the LINEAR Installation Center are discussed. It also shows how to transfer a softlock to another computer. Since obsolete or missing software protection drivers (HASP HL device drivers) and incorrect assignment of the software protection type can cause problems during installation, it is shown how to update software protection drivers and set the appropriate software protection type. In addition, a checklist is provided upon which you can review the most important prerequisites for setting up clients.
