Importing License File Manually

Shows step-by-step how to import your .linlic license file manually with LINEAR Admin.

Before you begin

You have purchased one of the LINEAR Software solutions and would like to import your .linlic license file to license the HASP SRM dongle.

Requirements:

  • All the points mentioned on the Prerequisites for installing software protection page are taken into account.

  • The dongle is plugged into a free USB port of the license server.

You can also license your dongle automatically without LINEAR Admin.

Procedure

  1. Click Import license file....

    The Import license file dialog opens.

  2. If necessary, navigate to the location of your .linlic license file and open the file.
    Tip:

    The name of the file is composed of the dongle number and the file extension *.linlic.

    The license file is read out.

Results

The license data has been successfully imported and the HASP SRM dongle is licensed.
