Updating the Server's Software Protection Licenses Manually

Shows step-by-step how to manually update your license server’s software protection licenses with LINEAR Admin.

Before you begin

You received an updated .linlic license file and would like to update the software protection licenses of your license server with this file and the LINEAR Admin.

Requirement:

All the points mentioned on the Prerequisites for installing software protection page are taken into account.

You can also update the software protection licenses automatically without LINEAR Admin.

Procedure

  1. Click Import license file....

    The Import license file dialog opens.

  2. If necessary, navigate to the location of your .linlic license file and open the file.

    The license file is read out.

Results

The license data has been read in successfully and the software protection licenses of the license server have been updated.
