Updating the Fingerprint (.c2v License File)

Shows step-by-step how to update the fingerprint (.c2v license file) of your license server.

Before you begin

You have experienced licensing issues and have been asked to provide us with an updated fingerprint (.c2v license file) so that we can create and send you a new .linlic license file.

All the points mentioned on the Prerequisites for installing software protection page are taken into account.

The fingerprint has to be created on your license server.

Procedure

  1. Click RUS Tool

    The RUS dialog opens.

  2. On the Collect Status Information tab, activate the Update of existing protection key option and click Collect Information.

    The required information is compiled and the Save key status as dialog opens.

  3. Enter the dongle or softlock number as the file name and click Save.

Results

The fingerprint of your license server has been updated and saved.

What to do next

Send the updated fingerprint to the following email address: licensing@linear.de. We will then create and send you a new .linlic license file, allowing you to import it and thus license the HASP SRM dongle or recreate the softlock.
