Details on Create or Edit Region/Place

Information on the dialog Details on create or edit region/place.

This dialog is used to create your own location and climate datasets, add new locations to location and climate datasets or edit them, and add additional postal code areas to locations.

You are here:

Module overviewCooling loadProject levelGeneral cooling load dataLocation.../

Country

Is a mandatory field and displays the name of the country for supplied datasets. When creating new datasets, the parameter defines the name of the dataset, e.g. for a country or a region. When creating entries, the parameter displays the dataset to which a location or postal code area is added.

Location

Is a mandatory field and displays the name of the location for the supplied datasets. When creating datasets, the parameter sets the name of the first location of the dataset. When adding locations to a dataset, the parameter sets the name of the location.

ID

Displays the postal code, cadastral community number or department for the supplied datasets. When creating entries, you can also enter numbers similar to postal codes or other combinations of letters and numbers here to help you identify the entries.

Notes

Here you can enter general notes about a location.

for heat load calculation

windy

This setting has influence on the air volume of infiltration via the building envelope, which is relevant within the framework of the heat load calculation according to DIN EN 12831 (2003) and its supplementary sheets, the heating load calculation according to TS 2164 (2003) and for the ventilation concept according to DIN 1946-6.

Enabled: The location is situated in a windy region.

Disabled: The location is situated in a region with little wind.

Height above sea level

Specifies the height of the project site above sea level. Relevant for the cooling load short procedure and all heat load standards except ISSO 51 and 53.

Standard -Outdoor temperature

Is a mandatory field and specifies the standard outside temperature relevant to all heat load standards except ISSO 51 and 53.

Annual average temperature

Specifies the mean annual temperature. Relevant for the cooling load short procedure and all heat load standards except ISSO 51 and 53.

for SP-standards

Outdoor temperature correction

Defines the correction of the outdoor temperature depending on the building mass. Only for heat load calculations according to the Russian standard SP 60.

Shielding class

The selection affects the determination of the volume flow factor for the calculation of infiltration volume flow rates and is relevant only for heating load calculations according to the Russian standard SP 60.

  • A: Building located at open sea, lake and reservoir coasts; buildings in deserts, steppes, forest steppes and tundra

  • B: Buildings in urban areas, forests and other areas with obstacles from 10 m height and above.

  • C: Buildings in urban areas with structures from 25 m height

Humidity

Specifies whether the given location is located in a dry (0), medium-humid (1) or humid region (2). This setting is relevant only for heat load calculations according to the Russian standard SP 60.

Wind speed

Specifies the wind speed in m/s, which is required to determine ventilation heat losses due to infiltration and is only relevant for heat load calculations according to the Russian standard SP 60.

for cooling load calculation

Climate zone according to DIN 4710

Defines the climate zone according to DIN 4710, which is only relevant for the cooling load short procedure.

Cooling load zone according to VDI 2078 (City)/(Surroundings)

Defines the cooling load zone according to VDI 2078 for cooling load calculations for centers/surroundings of locations. The specification is only relevant in connection with the cooling load short procedure. You can find information on designing cooling load zones in the corresponding standard.
