Carrying out a Quick Dimensioning in a One-Pipe System

Shows step-by-step how to carry out a quick dimensioning for all rooms on a floor in a one-pipe system. The preselection options and specifications are used for the design.

Before you begin

Requirements:

  • You have already preselected a radiator or cooling convector model series.

  • In the Radiator preselection or Cooling convector preselection dialog, you have selected aone-pipe system as the system.

Note:

For a correct dimensioning of radiators or cooling convectors, a broad assumption of the heat or cooling load is unsuitable; a comprehensive calculation of the cooling cooling load is required.

Procedure

  1. If necessary, in the Manufacturer and model series section, select the desired model series you want to dimension for the rooms of the selected floor.
  2. Adjust the Dimensioning options if necessary.
  3. Remove the check mark in the B column for the rooms that should not be dimensioned.
  4. Click Dimensioning in the toolbar.
    Note:

If you would like to design industrial heating or cooling elements, such as ceiling panels or radiant ceiling profiles, an interim dialog with further dimensioning options will appear before the design.

Results

LINEAR Building has designed all rooms to be laid out with radiators or cooling convectors.

What to do next

You can now define the connection sequence of the radiators or cooling convectors in the pipe run by selecting the single-pipe run in the pipe run view.
