Configuring the quantity takeoff

Shows step-by-step how to configure the quantity takeoff.

Before you begin

You have prepared your model for quantity takeoff and want to adjust the default configuration for export.

Note:

The steps in this task are optional. If the default configuration meets your requirements, you do not need to adjust the configuration.

Navigate to:

Project tabDisciplines …Quantity Takeoff workflowAnalyse tabQuantity(takeoff) ...

Procedure

  1. If you want to adjust the order of the attributes in the short text, activate editing by double-clicking in the corresponding cell of the Short text column.
  2. Drag and drop the attributes into the desired order.
    The new order of the attributes is adjusted in real time in the Quantity takeoff section.
  3. To edit the attributes in the Short text column, click .
    The Configure short text dialog for editing the attributes opens.
  4. Adjust the existing parameters as desired.
  5. If necessary, add more parameters by clicking and close the Configure short text dialog by clicking OK.
  6. Save your user-defined configuration in the Quantity takeoff acc. To: [...] dialog by clicking on in a directory of your choice.
    The configuration with the currently set short text attributes is saved in a text file (*.qcf).

Results

The quantity takeoff is configured as required and saved for future use.
