Details on Settings Heat Interface Unit

Information about the Heat Interface Unit Settings dialog.

In the scheme generators you will find neutral fresh water stations and manufacturer heat interface units and and fresh water stations. In this dialog, make global settings for all used heat interface units and fresh water stations in the project.

Approach of Simultaneity

All simultaneity approaches refer to apartment construction. The selected simultaneity approach is applied to the heating flow rates for potable water heating. Simultaneity of heating flow rates is not affected by this and initially is 100 %. Simultaneity decreases with increasing number of apartments.

Manufacturer Neutral Dimensioning

Settings you make via Global Presettings apply only to multisupplier stations. The most important hot water performance data is summarized in the text under the Global Presettings button.

Operating Mode Heat Interface Unit

With Priority Operation, the heating of potable water will have priority. As soon as hot water is discharged, the heat exchanger from the supply water is flooded to heat potable water. The heating circuit is turned off during potable water heating.

During Parallel Operation potable water heating and heating can be operated simultaneously. This leads to larger flow rates in the primary network (feed pipes leading to heat interface units).

Simultaneity

The selected simultaneity approach is applied to the heating flow rates for potable water heating. Simultaneity of heating flow rates is not affected by this and is 100% initially. Simultaneity decreases with increasing number of apartments.

Round to next higher number of devices

Enabled: In calculation, the number of heat interface units and fresh water stations is rounded to whole numbers.

Disabled: The number of devices is not rounded during calculation. This makes for smaller pipe dimensions.

PW Simultaneity Generator – Buffer Storage

This value describes the relation between discharge- and charge time of the buffer storage. It impacts pipe dimensions between generator and buffer storage, as well as the recharge time o the buffer storage. The preset value of 16.7 % has possibly to be corrected upwards to ensure that the buffer storage is charged for cases of hot water discharge as well.

Buffer Storage Dimensioning

Opens the Global Presettings for Buffer Storage Dimensioning dialog in which technical data for dimensioning the buffer storage are defined.
