Assigning Custom Pressure Loss Curve Data to Ventilation Components

Shows step-by-step how to assign custom pressure loss curve data sets to ventilation components.

Before you begin

You want to assign manufacturer-specific pressure loss curve data to ventilation components in your model.

Requirements:

You have created manufacturer-related data sets for ventilation components with corresponding pressure loss data under Curve data.

Navigate to:

Analyse tabDiscipline VentilationComponentsTechnical dataVentilation component

Procedure

  1. Select curve from the drop-down list of the Pressure loss section in the Technical data dialog.

The Curve data ... button becomes active.

  2. Click on the Curve data ... button.
    The Curve data dialog opens.
  3. Use the drop-down lists Manufacturer, Model series, Nominal diameter and, if applicable, Damper position to select the desired variant of the ventilation component.
The pressure loss data is displayed both in the table and as a curve graphic in the dialog.
  4. Click OK to confirm the selection of the data for the ventilation component.
The program will prompt whether the pressure loss data should be assigned to the selected component only or to all components of the same type.
  5. In the query of the program, select whether the pressure loss data should be assigned only to the selected or to all ventilation components of the same type.
Note: The query is made only for components with round connection geometry.

Results

You have assigned a predefined pressure loss curve data to one or more ventilation components.
