About Fresh Water- and Dwelling Stations

Explains the concept of fresh water- and dwelling stations in relation to their technical data dialog.

The dwelling station provides an individual apartment with heat and hot water. In the dwelling station, direct heat for the apartment comes via supply water from the heat generator. Potable water is heated using a heat exchanger in the heating supply water. This way, circulating pipe from the central heat generator to the apartment can be spared. Since the pipes between dwelling stations and potable water tapping points are short, measures to fight legionella and sampling requirement are no longer necessary.

Fresh water and dwelling stations are taken into account in the pipe network calculations for the disciplines Heating and Potable Water and are used as the basis for dimensioning the pipelines. They are on parts lists with all necessary and optional accessories. All necessary parameters for the Pipe Network Calculation Heating can be set in the Technical Data dialog for the respective station. You can define global default settings that are transferred to the technical data for manufacturer-neutral stations in the dialog Dwelling and decentralized fresh water stations. The configuration and settings of manufacturer stations are defined in the dialog Assistant Fresh Water and Dwelling Stations.

Neutral fresh water and dwelling stations as well as the wizard for manufacturer-dependent stations can be found on the Library tab. Certain parameters are set for the manufacturer's stations depending on the product. Manufacturer-neutral stations can be set individually to the greatest possible extent.

In order to balance peak loads a buffer storage is always required. If no control element is included in a station, you must insert a separate control element.
