About Adjusting Nominal Diameters

Explains the concept of adjusting nominal diameters in Pipe and Air Duct Network Calculations.

If calculated nominal diameters from the pipe- and duct network calculation deviates from those constructed in the model, the calculated nominal diameters can be transferred to the model. You can adjust the nominal diameters for the entire network or for partial networks.

If a calculated nominal diameter is not available in the constructed pipe- or duct network, the next higher dimension is selected.

Attention:

Adjusting nominal diameters can lead to having to re-edit the pipe or duct network. This may be the case when fittings are dimensioned larger due to adjusting and hence require more space.

Using larger nominal diameters when constructing the pipe or duct network in the first place will minimize the amount of required editing the pipe and duct network after adjusting the nominal diameters.
