Details on General Heat Load Data

Information about the General heat load data section in connection with the quick entry for determining an approximate heat load.

In the approximate heat load calculation, most of the parameters of the general heat load data are already set to default values. This is why the affected areas are not displayed in the general heat load data.

Note:

The quick entry does not replace the heat load calculation according to the standard and is only used for the approximate determination of area-related values.

Building data: Opens the Building data dialog where you can set general data about the location and geometry of the building.

Basis of calculation: Defines the calculation basis for determining the heat load.

Quick entry

In the Quick entry area, you define the value for the area related heat load and decide whether this overall value is to be applied to all rooms. For rooms whose room temperature is not 20 °C, this value is automatically adjusted accordingly.

apply globally

Activated: An overall value for the area-related heat load for all rooms at 20 °C is specified. For rooms with deviating room temperatures, the value is automatically adjusted accordingly.

Deactivated: You can define the value for the area-related determination of the heat load individually for each room in the Quick entry.

Area related heat load

Defines the value for the area-related heat load for all rooms with 20 °C room temperature. In case of deviating room temperatures, this value is automatically adjusted accordingly.

Location/climate data: (…)

In the Location/climate data for: (...) you define the location of your project and decide if, depending on the selected room types, room-specific temperature entries are overwritten with temperatures from the standard.

Location...: Opens the Locations dialog, where you can choose a location for your project. After selecting a location, the standard outside temperature is displayed in the field to the right of the button. If necessary, you can adjust this value.

Inside temperatures according to standard

Activated: Overwrites room-specific temperature entries with temperatures from the standard, depending on the selected room types. In the room view of the heat load and the Quick entry, the input fields of the room temperatures are deactivated.

Deactivated: Room temperatures can be entered manually.
