Setting the connection and location of connection of radiators or cooling convectors
Shows step-by-step how to change the settings of already dimensioned radiators or cooling convectors with respect to the manufacturer, the pipe system and the type and location of the connection.
Before you begin
Requirement:
You have designed the radiators or cooling convectors.
Navigate to:
Procedure
- In the Building structure, select the radiators or cooling convectors whose configurations you would like to change.
The section Connection opens.
- Select the desired Manufacturer. Note:
Manufacturers are only available if corresponding product data sets with suitable pipe systems have been installed and licensed.
- Select the Pipe system and the type of Connection.
- Select a Connecting set. Note:
Not all pipe systems include connecting sets.
- For VDI radiators and cooling convectors, set the Connection type on the left in the list of connection types. LINEAR Building marks the selected variant with a green checkmark. For BDH radiators, define the Location of connection using the checkboxes in the connection diagram on the right. Click with the left mouse button to set the supply water and the right mouse button to set the return water. Tip:
For VDI data sets, the selection of the location of connection is restricted by the manufacturer and depends on the selected connection set. If you still want to select the connection position freely, remove the checkmark from Connection type determined via VDI and define the connection position in the connection display on the right side.
