Calculation presettings

Element

Description

Detect material with every calculation

Activated: Material for creating the parts list is detected with every calculation.

Deactivated: Material for creating the parts list is not detected with every calculation. For large project where changes in material are not to be expected, this can shorten calculation time. If this check box is deactivated and the function Print is used to create printouts, the question whether to detect material will be posed.

These settings are not saved in your project but in an external configuration file and will be applicable to all potable water projects.

Printout pipe material per pipe type

Activated: Pipe material for cold water, hot water and circulation are printed separately in parts lists.

These settings are not saved in your project but in an external configuration file and will be applicable to all potable water projects.

Highlight most unfavorable flow path

Activated: The most unfavorable pipe run will be highlighted after calculation.

Collect room book data

Activated: If rooms are assigned to the consumers via the function Define ambience, the printout Room log will be available after the calculation.

Dwelling station: apply design flow rate

Activated: To calculate pressure loss for manufacturer specific dwelling stations, the flow rate from the dimensioning of the heat exchanger is used. Flow rate for this dwelling station is still method-specific.

Deactivated: To calculate pressure loss for manufacturer specific dwelling stations, the flow rate based on the method for pressure loss calculation will be used.

Calculate ejection time

Testing temperature

Testing period

Activated: During calculation, ejection times for hot water consumers are determined. The calculation method, the testing period and the testing temperature are activated and can be adjusted. After calculation, you may print the printout Ejection time via Output, Form/Inspection sheets.

The calculation procedures SP 30.13330.2016 and SP 30.13330.2020 do not include a calculation of the ejection time and is not displayed.

Units

Opens the dialog Units settings, in which units for all values can be determined. The values in all dialogs about technical data of components, in the calculation dialog, in results and printouts will be shown in the specified unit.
