About the year simulation

Explains the concept of year simulation in the context of dynamic cooling load calculation.

Using the climate data from the imported test reference year, the year simulation calculates the required capacities for heating and cooling for every hour of the year using the set target temperatures and internal loads. The calculation of the year is repeated until the calculation accuracy set for each hour is reached. Due to the different boundary conditions of the year simulation (idealized weather data for the whole year) and the cooling load calculation (calculation of a design day or period), the maximum cooling load of the two calculations will differ.

The required climate data for Germany can be downloaded free of charge from the German Weather Service and imported in the dialog Location/climate Data (...). The calculation of the annual simulation, different from the calculation of the cooling load, is not performed automatically, but started by you due to the higher calculation time. In the Calculation annual simulation dialog, you can define the rooms for which an annual simulation is to be performed. The results of the annual simulation can be displayed both graphically and in tabular form.
