About Component Values

Explains the concept of component values.

Each component of a project contains information that is relevant for calculating the heating and cooling load. Such information are e.g. thermal conductivity, consistency or specific heat capacity. In the Master tables you will find an overview of all existing building materials together with all their values. You can adapt each building material individually to your needs and create new building materials.

The building materials can be used to create individual components such as a sandwich wall. The U-value for components can either be determined from the building material values or entered manually. All components can be selected in the rooms of a project in the U-Value column.
