Details on Component Data for Shut-off Valves
Information about the component data dialog for shut-off valves in the Rohrnetzberechnung Quartiersnetze.
In this dialog, use the first tab to specify the component data that will be used for the component in the Rohrnetzberechnung Quartiersnetze. In addition, for manufacturer-neutral fittings, you can select the connection type for the component connections. On the second tab, you define the prioritization for the component's connection sets.
You are here:

Name
In this field you can enter an individual name for the component. Clicking on
restores the original name and overwrites the previous entry.
Settings Tab
Design Data: This section displays the calculated values for the Mass Flow Rate, the Design Mass Flow Rate, and the Design Nominal Diameter.
Valve Data
Select ...: Opens the Select Valve Series dialog to select manufacturer-specific and custom shut-off valves.
Reset: The Reset button resets the manually assigned valve to a neutral model.
Info …: Available when valve data is selected. When using manufacturer-specific valves, opens the dialog Information about this Valve with further values and information stored in the data set. For custom valves, the Curve Data dialog opens with information on the custom data set.
Nominal Diameter: The current nominal diameter of the valve. If you have selected valve data, you can choose a dimension here for which the component will then be assigned. The set nominal diameter will be used for the calculation. If you deselect the option free next to the drop-down list, a nominal diameter based on the calculation results is assigned. The newly assigned nominal diameter is displayed the next time the dialog is opened.
fixed
Enabled: The nominal diameter of the valve is not adjusted in the calculation.
Disabled: If necessary the nominal diameter of the valve is adjusted during the calculation.
Inlet, Outlet
Drop-down lists for selecting the connection types for the component's connections. This option is available only for manufacturer-neutral components. After selecting a connection, the selected connection type is also assigned to the other component connections. If necessary, you can also assign different connection types to the connections. The selected connections are included in the bill of materials. Based on the connection definition and the selected piping system, any required fittings will also be included in the bill of materials, provided that the data set for the selected piping system includes them.
Zeta
Enabled: Enables the specification of an additional pressure loss in the form of a zeta value.
kvs
Enabled: Specifies the flow coefficient of the valve in opened state.
: Opens the kv Value from Pressure Loss dialog, where you can calculate the kv value by entering the pressure loss and the volume flow rate.
Pressure Loss of Valve: Shows the pressure loss of the valve in the current discipline.
Material tab

On the second tab, you define the local prioritization for the component's connection sets. Any global settings defined in the Priorities (…) dialog for valves in the Connection Sets column of the Pipes and Connection Sets dialog may be overridden for this component.
Connection Set: Table for prioritizing individual sets of connections. Select a row, then use the
and
buttons to adjust the order for prioritizing the connection sets.
Reset: Resets the order of the connection sets to the order specified in the corresponding Priorities (…) dialog for the respective component category, which is defined via the Pipes and Connection Sets dialog.
