Calculation
Explains the concept of the calculation dialog in the Rohrnetzberechnung Quartiersnetze.
General
Use the Calculation button to start the analysis of the district network and the automatic subsequent calculation, including the pipe sizing.
After the calculation, the calculation dialog opens with an overview of the calculation data of the district network. All systems, heat interface units, trench sections and components included in the district network and their calculation results are listed in a table. You can make the next configurations for the heat interface units, trench sections and components via Edit... .
You can adjust the configuration of the calculation, the specifications for the raw material used, the settings for insulation and the technical data of the components at any time. If you make changes to the design of the district network or add or change components, you can analyze and calculate the district network again and see the current calculation results in the calculation dialog.
Heat Interface Units
On the inside of the selected system, the individual entries for the heat interface units contain the complete flow paths from the start components to the built-in parts to the ending components (heat interface units).
Trench Sections
Each heat interface unit entry is divided into trench sections. The trench sections include the individual trench sections of the flow and return. The first trench section runs from the starting component to the nearest tee or built-in part with a change in nominal diameter or material. All subsequent trench sections lead from the tee or built-in part to the nearest tee or built-in part. The last trench section runs from the last tee or built-in part to the ending component (heat interface unit).
Trench sections are separated by the following components:
- Branches
- Transitions
- Components for change of dimension or material
- System separating components, e.g. pumps or hydraulic separators (pump houses/heat exchangers)
First section of the flow path to the heat interface unit
Last section of the flow path to the heat interface unit
Components
- Starting and Ending Components
- Pipes
- Built-In Parts
- Fittings such as Tee, Branches, Bends
Further Functions
Further functions for calculation are available in the calculation dialog. For example, you can switch between the hydraulic and thermal results, view notifications, warnings and error reports relating to the calculation and adjust the boundary conditions for the calculation. You can use the Visualization function to display various properties of the network in the drawing.
