Inserting Elevation Points into Drawing Areas

Shows step-by-step how to add areas with elevation points to your drawing and how to set the density of the grids.

Before you begin

You want to add elevation point grids to certain areas of your drawing.

Requirements

  • The location is already defined in the drawing.
  • Elevation data is already inserted in the drawing.

Navigate to

Project-TabDiscipline District NetworksLabeling and Output" tabCommand group "Label Objects"

Procedure

  1. If necessary, open the section Elevation Points.
    Opened area Elevation Points
  2. Enter the Basic Height.
  3. Optional: Click Folder Symbol and select a *.DWG file for the rendering of elevation points in the drawing in the file explorer that appears.
  4. Select the Areaoption as the Insertion Method .
  5. Click on Insert Elevation Points ....
  6. In the drawing, first click on the first corner and then on the second corner of the area to be provided with elevation points.
  7. In the command line, enter the number of elevation points per kilometer to be displayed in the area and confirm your selection with Enter.
    The elevation points are inserted in the defined area.
  8. Repeat the procedure for the next areas of your drawing if necessary.

Results

You have added areas with elevation points to your drawing.

Label the elevation points with the Label Objects < function if necessary.
