Free choice of name for the new property.
Type
Drop-down list for selecting the type of calculated property. The type determines how the resulting value is to be interpreted. The result of the division {volume}/{area}, for example, is a length and cannot be displayed as an area. An incorrectly selected type in this sense leads to an error message in the Properties dialog.
Formula
Input field for the user-defined formula. The Revit Engine masters the basic arithmetic operations as well as advanced calculations with conditional syntax, trigonometric functions and parentheses. Parameters must be referenced with their display name in curly brackets.
