Creating New Element Classes

Click on New Element Classes in the Element Classes section.

The newly created element class is shown at the end of the list with a placeholder name; the settings of the element class are displayed on the right-hand side of the dialog.

Enter the desired Name and a Description.

In the Disciplines area, click Select... to only display elements from selected disciplines.

Select the desired disciplines and exit the dialog by clicking OK.

In section Revit Categories, click on Select... to display elements from specific categories.

Select the desired categories and exit the Select Categories dialog with OK.

In the drop-down list in the Filter Rules area, select whether an element must meet all criteria (AND logic) or at least one criterion (OR logic) in order to be displayed in this element class.

Click on to select a parameter as a filter criterion.

Click on to select a classification as a filter criterion.
