Assign Manufacturer Material
Shows step-by-step how to specify manufacturer material in a gas pipe network for the pipes in the project.
Before you begin
You have completed the design of the pipe network and want to assign manufacturer material for a realistic calculation.
Navigate to
Procedure
- Click Product data ....
The dialog Product data opens.
- Select the desired manufacturer from the Global Manufacturer drop-down list and close the dialog by clicking OK.
- Click on Pipe Tables .... The Pipe tables dialog opens.
- Select the manufacturer that you have previously defined from the drop-down list Manufacturer.
- Select the desired System.
- Activate the desired material by clicking in the Active column.
- If you want to exclude individual pipe dimensions from use, open the lower table by clicking on Details >>, if necessary. Note: When starting the pipe network calculation, the smallest dimension is selected for all duct sections for which the dimensions have not been locked. The smallest dimension always is the first active dimension in the pipe tables. If you do not want to go below a certain dimension, deactivate the smaller dimensions. Deactivated dimensions are still available for manual selection in the calculation dialog in the Pipe/duct section section.
- In the table, click on the Active column to deactivate any dimensions that should not be included in the calculation.
- Close the dialog with a click on OK.
