Manually Assigning Material
Shows step-by-step how to assign deviating material to individual sections.
Before you begin
You have assigned a global material to all pipes in the model and want to assign different materials to individual pipe sections.
Requirement
In the dialog Product Data, the manufacturer is selected whose material you want to assign to sections, unless you want to assign materials listed under Custom.
Note: In the Gas discipline, you can only calculate and dimension a network using different materials from a single manufacturer or using a combination of materials from one manufacturer and the materials listed under Custom.
Navigate to
Procedure
- Open the Components section, if necessary.
- Click on Pipe Material … A notification for selecting the components appears.
- Select all sections that are to receive a different material and confirm your selection by pressing Enter. The Pipe tables dialog opens.
- Select the corresponding material and exit the dialog by clicking OK. A message with the number of changed sections is displayed.
- Confirm the notification by clicking OK.
- If required, select further sections and assign material as described in the steps above.
- Finish the process with ESC.
