About Legends

Explains the concept of legend on sheet views.

The Legend < function in the construction tab of the control board searches in a floor plan or section view for pipe and duct network relevant categories and creates a legend from these. This legend is then available in the Revit project browser and can be placed on all desired sheet views.

The scale, level of detail (coarse, medium, fine) and image style of the legend are taken from the view from which the legend was created. A legend is a snapshot of a situation at a specific time. If the situation changes, a new legend must be created.

If a legend is only to be created for a certain selection of components, this selection can be made in a floor plan or section view and the legend can be created based on the selection. If several views are placed in a sheet view, a common legend can be created directly in the sheet view for all placed views.
