About Work Views
Explains the concept of work sections and the 3D section area.
Create temporary working sections and 3D section areas to view spatial situations in the project more accurately and/or to be able to design them better. For this purpose, you can use the horizontal and vertical working section, the working section in front of a wall, and the 3D section area.
The horizontal and vertical working sections, as well as the working section in front of a wall, are created in floor plans or ceiling or area plans. The 3D section area can be created in floor plans, 3D, building, and section views, or ceiling or area plans. When creating a new working view, the current view of the same type (horizontal working section, vertical working section, working section in front of wall, 3D section area) is overwritten. This prevents an accumulation of views in the project. If you want to use a working section permanently, you can save it by renaming it. For each working view, the scale, level of detail, image style, etc. can be set separately in the Revit Properties or via the LINEAR View Controls.
