Automatically Assigning Values to Room Data Sheet Parameters using the AI Feature

Shows how to assign values to a selected output parameter based on input parameters using the AI function step by step.

Before you begin

Attention: When using the AI features, please note that the content generated by the AI is created automatically and may contain errors or inaccuracies. No warranty is provided regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the results.

You want to automatically assign values to room parameters, such as a room type based on the room name. You would like to use AI-assisted input for automated assignment. This way, you don't have to enter the information individually for each entry in the room data sheet.

Requirements

  • You know the two parameters (input and output parameter) that you want to use, and have created them yourself if necessary.
  • The parameters must be assigned to a property set, otherwise they will not be available for assignment in the Value Input dialog.

Navigate to

Module Overview ➤ Room Data Sheet ➤ Data-Type Specific Value Input (Toolbar)

Procedure

  1. Click on Data Type-Specific Value Input in the toolbar.
    The dialog Value Input opens.
  2. Click on the three-dot button to the right of the field for the Input Parameters.

    A context menu opens in which the available parameters are grouped into categories and property sets.

  3. Select one or more Input Parameters based on which an output parameter should automatically be assigned a value—for example, the room name—and, if necessary, deselect any unnecessary parameters from the context menu.

    The selected parameter is transferred to the Input Parameter field. The Input Parameter column displays the values of these parameters.

  4. Select an Output Parameter in the same way as you selected an Input Parameter.

    The selected parameter is transferred to the Output Parameter field. Any existing values for the Output Parameter are displayed in the Values for Output Parameter column and otherwise listed with the value zero.

  5. Optional: If necessary, enter an additional prompt to specify the input.
  6. From the drop-down list next to AI Request for Value Suggestions, select an AI configuration for the AI request.
    Note: Clicking opens the AI Model Settings dialog, where you can create new configurations for AI queries using different models. The LINEAR Standard configuration can always be used when you have an active internet connection.
  7. Click Start AI Request to request suggestions for the output parameter values from the AI.

    The results of the AI query are displayed in the Values for Output Parameter column. In addition, the Prob. column provides a probability of the answer's accuracy as a percentage, and the AI Explanation column provides an explanation for the AI's answer.

  8. In the Values for Output Parameter column, review the results of the AI query, taking into account the information in the Prob. and AI Explanation columns.
  9. Optional: Make any necessary corrections or changes, as in the case of the gym in this example, where the AI was unable to clearly identify the room type.
    Fastpath: You can sort the table in ascending or descending order by clicking on the header of the Prob. column.
  10. Click Apply Values.

Results

The values have been assigned to the output parameter and transferred to the room data sheet.
