Drawing Joists

Before you begin

You want to draw a joist.

Navigate to

Project tab ➤ Discipline Architecture ➤ Planning type 3D - Model planning / 2.5D - Model planning ➤ Create tab ➤ Command group Walls, Ceilings, Columns

Procedure

If necessary, click the triangle next to the button Joist < to open the associated section.
Enter the dimensions for the joist or pick the dimensions from the drawing using the button behind the input field.
Click the Joist < button.
Determine the starting point and then the end point of the joist in the drawing.
The tooltip of the AutoCAD crosshair will show a query asking in which direction the joist should be built up.
Answer the query with Left, Right or Center and confirm the placement with Enter.

Results

The joist has been drawn in.
