Details on Synchronize Room Book
Information on the dialog Synchronize Room Book.
After you have imported a room book, you can synchronize data modified in this dialog in both directions between LINEAR Building and a room book.

Address Row
Path to the room book (*.xslx) with which the synchronization is performed. By default, the file from which the building was imported is pre-selected. Clicking on 
opens the file explorer, where you can select an alternative room book in Excel format for synchronization.

Dropdown list for selecting the table sheet containing the room book data.
ID Column
Dropdown list for selecting the column in which LINEAR Building IDs for unique identification of rooms are to be written. If the specified column already contains entries, after clicking Import or Synchronize, a dialog appears where the process can be canceled to specify a different column or proceed to overwrite existing values.
Header Row
Number of the row containing the headlines of the room book.
Data starting from row
Specify the first row where room book-relevant data is located.

| Table column | Description |

| Column “Room Book” | Displays the column headings of the selected room book. |
| Room Parameters | By default, this column retains the assigned parameters from the import. If you select a different room book for synchronization, suitable assignments are automatically set if they match the room book columns of the last mapping. If a cell is empty, you can assign a suitable parameter by clicking in the cell from the context menu ( ). |
| Unit | Shows the unit with which an assigned parameter is imported. The unit is only displayed here and can not be edited. |
| Option | Shows how a parameter is handled in the case of synchronization. A parameter can either always be imported from the room book, always only be exported to the selected room book, or synchronize the current value when a parameter is changed. This option can be adjusted for each parameter in the Configuration in the Synchronization section. Note: The parameters for Storey Name and Storey Number are set to Import/Export regardless of the selected synchronization settings, and the corresponding values from LINEAR Building are synchronized with priority. |
Synchronization Configuration
Drop-down list for selecting the desired synchronization configuration. In the Configuration for LINEAR Building, you can determine in the Synchronization section which parameters are synchronized and how. You can save each custom synchronization configuration and then select it from this dropdown list alongside the default configurations.
