About the Dimensioning of Radiators or Cooling Convectors

Explains the concept of dimensioning radiators or cooling convectors.

In the system preselection you determine the manufacturer, construction and model series of the radiator or cooling convector model with which you would like to design your building. You can select BDH - or VDI radiators or cooling convectors depending on the dataset. If necessary, you can install additional manufacturer datasets.

The radiators or cooling convectors are configured either directly in the selected room or using the quick dimensioning in the overview areas at apartment, area, storey, building section or project level for the rooms in the room. The prerequisite for carrying out quick sizing is that the rooms have already been assigned target outputs and a radiator or cooling convector model series is in the system preselection. During quick dimensioning, radiators or cooling convectors are assigned to the outside windows of the rooms. The radiators or cooling convectors automatically dimensioned by the program can then be further detailed or certain radiators or cooling convectors can be removed if required. As the overview areas of the building structure levels also list all the windows in the individual rooms, you can also exclude individual windows from the dimensioning. To keep the view of the areas clear, you can hide windows without radiators or cooling convectors.

For each system, the design parameters can also be modified subsequently. In case of subsequent modifications, you can dimension the system with the new basic conditions again at any time. To prevent radiators or cooling convectors from being placed under previously excluded windows during a new dimensioning, you can restrict the layout to the existing radiators or cooling convectors.
