Assign Material Combination

Shows step-by-step how to set material combinations and assign them to pipes.

Before you begin

You want to manually assign pipe systems and insulating combinations used in the calculation to the pipes in the model.

Requirements:

  • The pipe network is closed an can be calculated.

  • The pipe network is detected.

Note:

Make a manual material assignment only if the available automatisms do not lead to the desired result.

Navigate to:

Project tab ➤ Discipline ➤ Analyse tab ➤ Material data ➤ Pipes and insulations ...

Applies to: Heating, Cooling, Potable water.

Procedure

  1. Decide which material combination you want to assign and enable it by clicking in the corresponding row.
  2. Click Assign <.
  3. In the context menu, select the desired filter.
  4. Select the pipes that are to receive the selected material combination and confirm twice with Enter.
    Note:

    When assigning, please note that material changes can only be carried out behind T-pieces and behind built-in parts with dimension changes.

  5. If necessary, repeat the process for further cases of application.
  6. Close the Pipes and Insulations dialog with OK to save the settings in the project.

Results

The material combinations have been assigned and can be displayed via the Visualization... to highlight them.
