About the Labeling of Pipe and Duct Networks

Explains the concept of labeling pipe and duct networks calculation data.

When you label objects LINEAR Building from or LINEAR Solutions, a labeling block is inserted into the drawing. The block is automatically filled with the data of the object. For example, if you label a radiator, it can be labeled with the room name, room number, as well as the capacity and mass flow rate. The information used for labeling depends on the content of the labeling block.

A prerequisite for the labeling of a pipe or duct network is a successful calculation of the network. All data for the labeling will be available only then.

To label a network, you can use preset label configurations for the individual network objects. You can find these label configurations in the Configure label section of the Labeling dialog. If required, you can also adjust these preset configurations to internal presettings or to customer specifications.

In the LINEAR Analysis - modules, you can select the content of the label for each component type from the table and use it directly for labeling. If you would like to make further adjustments for the label blocks, for example to add frames, you can change the label blocks manually.

Alternatively, you can create your own configurations and save them in labeling files or freely configure the labeling and use a automatically created block.

The labeling blocks are dwg files, which you can open and edit them with a CAD program. The labeling blocks contain variables in attributes that determine which information is used to label the object. Attributes and control texts can be copied and variables can be adjusted. This allows you to adjust the content of the label block according to your wishes.

Furthermore, you can save information from the pipe or duct network calculations as metadata on the network components in order to make this information available to all participants as part of the project collaboration. You can configure these export parameters for BIM applications individually for each network object.
