Problem
When detecting a building from a model with LINEAR Building, floors or ceilings/suspended ceilings are not detected.
Possible cause: upper and lower offset
The upper and/or lower offsets are set so that the MEP space is not adjacent to the components.
Solution
Make sure that the values for Limit Offset and Base Offset are set correctly in the LINEAR properties of the MEP spaces. If the zone boundaries in the section view are within the components, there are usually no problems with the detection of floors and ceilings either.
Possible cause: Room bounding deactivated
In the Revit-properties the option Room bounding is deactivated.
Solution
- Select the respective floors/ceilings and activate the Room bounding option in the Revit-Properties.
