Importing Manufacturer Dataset

Shows step-by-step how to import manufacturer datasets for selecting further radiators or cooling convectors.

  1. In the Source File section click the button.

    The Open dialog opens.

  2. Select in the lower-right section of the dialog whether you would like to import a BDH 2 dataset (hk.dat or *.bdh) or a VDI 3805 file (*.vdi).

  3. Navigate to the desired dataset and click Open.

    The dialog shows the dataset with the date of creation and an informatory note in the Source File section.

  4. Enter a unique abbreviation of maximum four characters and the manufacturer name for the selected dataset.

  5. Click Import Dataset.

  6. Save your project and restart LINEAR Building, so that the newly imported dataset can be used for the design process.

LINEAR Building Shows the newly imported dataset in the Available Dataset section. The dataset is also available in the Radiator Preselection dialog.
