Adding Contour Points

Shows step-by-step how to add contour points to or remove contour points from already drawn room and floor contours.

Before you begin

You want to add contour points to or remove contour points from a room or a storey because, for example, room contours have changed as a result of entering a shaft.

Requirements:

Room or floor outlines already exist in your drawing.

In this room, a shaft is provided. However, the original room contours of the kitchen still protrude into the shaft.

Procedure

  1. Click on the room contour.

Cyan colored grips are displayed. The small cyan squares represent the contour points.

  2. Click the upper right contour point and move it so that the area for the new shaft remains free.

  3. Click the button Add contour points <.
Now you can add more contour points to the existing area.
  4. Select the starting point. It must be on the edge of the spatial contour of the existing surface.
  5. Set the new contour points.
Note: The new contour points must not be located within the existing area, which is highlighted in red.

  6. Select a endpoint. It must be on the edge of the contour of the existing surface.

Results

The surface is closed along the newly defined contour points and the command is automatically terminated.
