We invest a lot of energy in the intuitive usability of our solutions, but even with LINEAR, building services engineering remains a task that cannot be realised "just like that". For this reason, we have always attached great importance to detailed documentation (Online Help), training programmes and competent support. For almost two years now, we have been offering LINEAR e-learning, a free opportunity for all customers to learn about our solutions in compact online courses. This is a good time to take a look at how it has been used so far and to take stock.


More than 100 customers use the service every day
More than 8,000 customers have now used LINEAR's e-learning program. It is not uncommon for more than 50 users to visit our courses on the platform at the same time. On average, we have more than 100 users a day and are delighted that the offer has been so well received. Between 10 and 20 new users join every day, confirming our commitment to continuously expanding the platform and making it easier for our customers to use the software. Six employees from our training and support department are constantly working on writing the scripts, developing sample projects and then developing the courses and putting them online. Currently, 13 new courses are being implemented and a further 40 topics are being planned. The courses are also regularly checked to ensure they are up to date and as soon as the majority of topics are covered, we continue to update them on an ongoing basis. In this way, we ensure that all customers have access to the latest courses on as many topics as possible.

A new course almost every week
The German e-learning platform currently offers 55 courses. In addition, we already provide over 50 courses in English. Starting with courses on installation and the basic steps, we also offer beginner courses for AutoCAD and Revit, as well as specific training on individual work steps in MEP design for all trades. We have also started to incorporate new functions from previous releases directly into the e-learning program to make it easier for all customers to use them directly (e.g. Scheme Design in Revit, The LINEAR Control Board - The New User Interface). Comprehensive training courses for both Revit and AutoCAD are available to all users. Due to the identical handling of numerous functions, some courses are relevant for both solutions. As there are many first-time users among our customers, particularly in the area of our Revit solutions, we initially focussed on this area. In addition, we fundamentally optimised the LINEAR Solutions interface for AutoCAD with Version 24 and waited until then to create all courses for the AutoCAD solutions with the new interface. In the meantime, however, a large number of e-learning courses are already available and an average of one course per week is being added.
 

An important part of our service philosophy
Our promise to deliver the best software for better buildings includes not only the provision of our solutions but also the comprehensive range of services. Our interactive help, the LINEAR Knowledge Base, which is always up-to-date on our website and directly accessible from the software, provides all users with an ideal platform to simplify the operation of our solutions. E-learning complements this perfectly with clear examples and the opportunity to experience the operation of the software directly in the video and carry it out yourself. These two basic elements are part of our service promise, with which we want to provide you with optimum support. Everything is available around the clock and free of charge for our customers. In this way, we  aim to achieve satisfied users who will hopefully remain loyal to our solutions for a long time. If these options are not sufficient to master your specific challenge, our professional support is of course available to you. Last year's survey showed impressively that our customers feel they are in good hands here.

The LINEAR community on the e-learning platform
You may not yet have noticed the community area on the e-learning portal. We recommend that you take advantage of this offer. Here you have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other users, ask questions about specific problems to the community and comment on individual courses. This should be a place where you can exchange ideas with other users, support each other and utilise the swarm intelligence of LINEAR customers. We would be happy to see even more dialogue here in the future and invite you to participate.
