Creating Building Parts and Assigning Storeys

Shows step-by-step how to create a new building part and assign the corresponding storeys and, if necessary, auxiliary levels.

Before you begin

You want to create building parts in order to then organize levels for the different building parts.

Requirement:

Your project already includes storey levels and, if applicable, auxiliary levels, which you can then assign to the building parts.

Navigate to

Project tab

Procedure

  1. Click Building parts …

    The Building parts dialog opens.

    Note: The building part Main Building is automatically created and initially contains all levels included in the project. The name of the building part can be customized.
  2. Click in a free line of the table or Add New Building Part to create a new building part.
  3. Enter the name of the new building part.

    The new building part is created.

  4. Click Select in the row of the new building part.
  5. In the list that appears, deactivate the levels that do not belong to the current building part.

  6. Click outside the list to close it.
    Tip: You can also assign individual rooms on a level to other building parts in the LINEAR properties of the respective MEP space.
  7. Repeat the process for all other building parts and close the dialog with OK.

Results

The building part is created and the levels are assigned. If you select a building part in the Building parts section, the corresponding storeys are displayed in the Storeys area.
