Assigning System Types to MEP Fabrication Parts
Shows step-by-step how to prepare MEP fabrication parts for the Air Duct Network Calculation by assigning the system type to the LIN_FABRICATION_SYSTEM parameter.
Before you begin
You want to prepare the MEP fabrication parts for using them in the air duct network calculation.
Requirements:
You have designed an air duct network that includes MEP fabrication parts. In addition, you have activated the LIN_FABRICATION_SYSTEM parameter in the parameter management for MEP fabrication parts.

Procedure
- Select the MEP fabrication part to which you want to assign a system type, e.g. a ventilation pipe.
- Enter the system type as an attribute in the field of the LIN_FABRICATION_SYSTEM parameter, e.g. L_exhaust air. Note: The system types of the current project for the discipline Ventilation can be found in the dialog System classes.
Results
You have assigned the system type L_exhaust air to the parameter LIN_FABRICATION_SYSTEM. After you have assigned a system type to all MEP fabrication parts, you can calculate the mesh.
