Details on “Velocity Limits"

Information about the Velocity Limits dialog in the Settings for the discipline Ventilation.

This dialog defines the volume flow rate intervals and their maximum permissible air velocities, which are used for the dimensioning specifications according to maximum velocities in the option by Volume Flow Rates. If necessary, you can adjust the values to suit your requirements.

Dialog Velocity Limits in the Settings of the Ventilation Discipline of the LINEAR Solutions for Autodesk Revit

The volume flow rate limits of the intervals are defined only by the upper limits. If you change the upper limit of an interval, the lower limit of the following interval is automatically adjusted. If you do not comply with the requirements when defining the intervals, you will be notified. Use the tilde symbol (~) to set an open upper limit for the volume flow rate, which is required for the upper limit of the last volume flow rate interval.

Table 1. Table of Velocity Limits
Column Description
Volume Flow Rate of... Displays the lower volume flow rate limit for the respective interval.
Volume Flow Rate up to... Sets the upper volume flow rate limit for the respective interval. The lower limit of the subsequent interval is automatically adjusted after a value is entered.
Velocity up to... Sets the maximum permissible air velocity for the respective interval.

Reset: Resets the volume flow rates and velocity limits to the default settings.
