Details on "R-Value"

Information on the R-Values dialog in radiant heating and cooling.

Lists the heat transfer resistances (R-values) of various surface coverings in the project stored in the master tables and allows them to be edited. In addition, space parameters are listed with units for Heat Resistance Coefficients, which you can create in the Room Data Sheet module if required.

Tip:

Create a space parameter for all required floor coverings with associated R-values so that you do not have to select different R-values for different floor coverings in individual rooms when designing radiant heating systems. The parameter is then available in the R-Values dialog. When using this parameter, the corresponding R-value for the design is automatically used depending on the surface covering.

Dialog R-values in LINEAR Building

By clicking you have the possibility to copy the contents of the table with or without column heading and paste it into Excel.

If you have selected individual rows or cells, you can copy the selected data with the key combinations Ctrl+C (with column heading) or Ctrl+Shift+C (without column heading) and paste it into Excel, for example.

List of R-Values

Lists the R-values stored in the master tables and the space parameters with units for Heat Resistance Coefficients, and allows them to be selected and edited. You can create space parameters with units for Heat Resistance Coefficients in the Room Data Sheet module. These parameters are numbered in descending order starting with number R99 so that they can be clearly distinguished from the variables originating from the master tables. You can add further R-values to the list and delete entries using F6 or Delete. Modifications are saved in the project.

Tip: You can also edit the list of R-values in the Master Tables (Master TablesVariables, Standard AreasVariables (Heights, Temperatures...)R R-Values).
