Making General Settings

Shows step by step how to make general settings for calculating district networks.

Before you begin

You want to make sure that all parameters are set correctly before the calculation.

Note: This task serves as a support for setting basic parameters for the calculation. Deviating from or in addition to the steps listed, further settings may be required to obtain the desired result.

Navigate to

Procedure

  1. In the section Additional Pipe Lengths at the Heat Interface Unit, specify the additional pipe lengths for wall and floor penetration.
  2. Go to the Calculation Parameters tab.

  3. In the Sizing section, check the design temperatures, limit values, and Domestic Cold Water Temperature, and adjust them if necessary.
  4. Optionally, select the Consider Height checkbox.
  5. If necessary, adjust the calculation basis for Diversity using the drop-down list, and if needed, specify a minimum value for diversity in the Min. Diversity input field.
  6. Review the Sizing Strategy and adjust it as needed using the drop-down list.
  7. If necessary, adjust the values in the Heat Gains section.
  8. If necessary, enable the Lambda Value after Aging option and specify the influencing factors.
  9. Click OK.

Results

The basic settings for the calculation have been made and are now taken into account when performing a calculation.
