Creating Room Components

Shows step-by-step how to create the components of a room.

Before you begin

You have created a building structure and now you would like to create the room components (walls, doors, windows, floors etc.) in the rooms.

Requirement:

You created a building structure with at least one room.

Navigate to:

Module Overview ➤ Heat Load ➤ Room Level (Building Structure) ➤

Heat load transmission room components Linear Building

Procedure

  1. Click in an empty cell of the table in the Abbrev. of ID column.
  2. You can
    • enter a component code manually or
    • select a component after clicking on and confirm the selection by clicking on OK.
    Tip:

    Insert windows and doors in the row below the component in which they are installed.

  3. Enter the dimensions of the component and complete all known parameters of the component.
  4. Create the remaining components of the room as described.
    Tip:

    Pressing F5 inserts a new line (= new component) above the currently selected line. F6 deletes the selected row.

Results

All components of the room with their respective required parameters are created.
