The IDS file is imported in several steps. Here you will find an overview of the process. You will find detailed descriptions of the individual steps in the navigation bar or as a link at the bottom of a page.

In the IDS Import dialog, you can import an IDS file in four steps. In the first step, the metadata and any logic or format errors in the imported file are displayed; in the second step, you can exclude specifications from the import that are not required. In a third step, IFC classes from the imported IDS file can be assigned to Revit categories. Finally, in the fourth step, check and complete the assignment of IFC parameters to shared parameters.
