Pumps

Explains the concept of Pumps in pipe network calculation heating, cooling and potable water.

Heating and cooling pipe networks require circulating pumps for the calculation. The potable water pipe network can contain circulating pumps or booster stations.

If your pipe network contains a pump, its data are initially neutral. The required delivery height and the required flow rate are calculated by the program. Clicking Technical data in the section Components takes you to the technical data of the pump. Here, you may check the calculated values and select a manufacturer model for this component.

In the Pump selection dialog, you can also select manufacturer pumps and assign the data to multiple pumps in the drawing.

If a pump in the drawing a manufacturer pump assigned, the data of the selected manufacturer model will be used for calculation.

Install an appropriate data set to use the data from manufacturer pumps. Manufacturer data sets can be downloaded via the LINEAR Installation Center.
