Creating Classification Systems

Shows step by step how you can create classification systems.

  1. Navigate to the following directory: C:\ProgramData\liNear GmbH\Solutions xx\CAD\RevitMain\User-Standards\Classification and copy the templates found there.

  2. Paste the copied files and rename them.

  3. Rename Index Template.xml to Index.xml.

  4. Open Index.xml.

  5. Adapt all entries to the needs of your classification system.

  6. If applicable, change ParameterType to "Type".

  7. If necessary, create more versions.

  8. Create further Excel files as necessary for the additional versions.

  9. Open the Excel files which are to be used in your classification system.

  10. Adapt all entries to the needs of your classification system.

  11. Fill the tables with the relevant content of your classification system and save them.

  12. Restart LINEAR CAD Solutions.

You have now created your own classification system and it is available for use in the Classification table as System.
