Creating Rigid Pipe Connections

Shows step-by-step how to attach components to pipes using the Rigid Connection < command.

Before you begin

You want to connect objects, e.g. radiators, to existing pipes in your drawing.

Prerequisite

You have already drawn in objects, e.g. radiators, and pipes.

Navigate to

Initial Situation:

Radiator and pipes placed in the drawing drawing

Procedure

  1. Click on Rigid Connection <.
    Note: You can attach several components at the same time using the Rigid Connection < command by selecting the components before starting the command.
  2. Select the object to be connected, e.g. a radiator.

    The object is then automatically connected at right angles to the pipes closest to the object.

  3. Optional: If an object was the last object to be attached to a pipe, click on the superfluous pipe ends to trim them.
    Note: Trimming of pipe ends is only possible for individual connection of symbols with the Rigid Connection < command.

Results

You have connected the objects to your pipe network using the Rigid Connection < command.

Note: If a connection has been made in the wrong place, you can start the command again and repeat the steps.
