Before you begin

You want to select a pipe/duct system for calculation and dimensioning that is also output in the parts lists.

Navigate to

Disciplines Heating, Potable Water, Waste Water, Cooling, Roof Drainage:

Project Tab ➤ Discipline ➤ Planning Type ➤ Analyse Tab ➤ Command Group Analyse ➤ Material Data ➤ Pipes and Insulations ... ➤ (Column “Lines/Pipes, Polylines/Flexible Pipes)

Discipline Ventilation:

Project Tab ➤ Discipline Ventilation ➤ Planning Type ➤ Analyse Tab ➤ Command Group Analyse ➤ Material Data ➤ Pipes and Ducts ...

Applies to: Heating, Potable Water, Waste Water, Ventilation, Cooling, Roof Drainage.

Dialog Pipe Tables in the LINEAR Solutions for Autodesk AutoCAD

Note: In the discipline Ventilation, the dialog is called Duct Tables.

Procedure

Select the Manufacturer and the System.
In the upper table, select the row for the pipe material you want to use or activate the Active field for the duct material you want to use.
If you want to exclude individual dimensions from use, open the lower table by clicking on Details >>.

Note: When starting the pipe/duct network calculation, the smallest dimension is selected for all pipe/duct sections for which the dimensions have not been locked. The smallest dimension always is the first active dimension in the Pipe Tables or Duct Tables. If you do not want to go below a certain dimension, deactivate the smaller dimensions. Deactivated dimensions are still available for manual selection in the calculation dialog in the Pipe/duct section section.
If necessary, deactivate the Active field for the pipe/duct dimensions you do not want to use for calculation.
Close the dialog with OK.

Results

The selected material is used for calculation and is given out in the calculation dialog as well as the material lists.
