Set Default Material
Shows step-by-step how to set default material for automatic assignment in your model.
Before you begin
You want to define which material should be automatically assigned to the pipes in the model during calculation.
Navigate to:
Applies to: Heating, Potable Water, Waste Water
Procedure
- Configure the material for the material combination Standard: Click in the columns Lines/Pipes/Polylines/Flexpipes or Insulation Material on
. The Pipe Tables or Insulation Tables dialog opens. - Select the desired manufacturer and the desired material. Exit the dialog by clicking OK. The material for the Standard material combination is set.
- Wherever material is to deviate from the material combination Standard, set additional material by clicking on and then on Select .... The Pipe Tables or Insulation Tables dialog opens.
- Select the desired manufacturer and the desired material. Exit the dialog by clicking OK.
- Activate the desired material combination by clicking in the corresponding row of the Active column. If neither Automatic Assignment of Position nor Pipe material from model is enabled, the material combination Standard is assigned to all pipes during the calculation.
Results
The activated material combination is automatically assigned to the pipes in the model when calculating the pipe network. Manually assigned material is not overwritten.
