General Notes on Software Protection
Get general tips on how to avoid errors related to LINEAR softwares protection.
- Make sure that the search settings in the LINEAR Admin are set correctly.
- Make sure that no security software (virus scanner/firewall) is installed on your client that prevents access to the software protection.To test this, disable all security programs on your PC and then check if your software protection is now found. 
- Make sure that the Sentinel (LDK, HASP or LOCAL) License Manager service has been started.
- Make sure your PC is connected to the Internet, as software protection needs to be checked at a 30-day interval and software protection needs to be connected to the Internet at least once for verification within that period.
